Atheism makes a lot of sense, but if you are an atheist you shouldn’t
really talk all that much about it.
It’s a realistic stance, but not a
particularly jolly one. And if you’re right, nobody’s going to know it
anyway.
So you’re just wasting your finite breath and time discussing
it. Best take advantage of that stuff before you cease to exist
altogether.

"A Song of Ice and Fire" is not a Fantasy
I'm sorry to go against the crowd, I was been reading Fantasy Novels for quite sometime. I see lot of people rate GRRM's ASOIAF as great fantasy book.
But, my opinion is that ASOIAF is not a Fantasy Series at all. It is marketed cleverly as Fantasy Series. It is a fictitious historical(Europe sort of history) book where some things of like Dragons and Black Magic are deliberately added to make it look like a Fantasy Novel.
There is huge crowd of people reading Fantasy Novels, and these people oves complex plots. The Fantasy readers are tricked into thinking that ASOIAF is a complex fantasy, whereas it is not a fantasy book at all.
ASOIAF don't have any Magic System. I hate ASOIAF.
