Hi Reemus,
I am suspecting that you are doing some black magic on me as I am not able to go beyond two chapters in the book 'The God Delusion'. Let me try reading this during the weekend..Come on Stalin..you have to DO IT... ;-)
300 - Saw the movie in DVD two weeks back and regretted that I missed watching in IMAX :-(
300 is a visually rich appealing movie made with style by the director Zack Snyder.. I loved the movie very much..
There were speculations about the characters in the movie reflecting contemporary politics.."East Vs West". In fact the movie was strongly opposed by the Iranians as the Persians are depicted as monstrous and barbaric human beings and the Persian King Xerxes(Now I know where the XML parser name came from!) as androgynous(Ironically the guy who played that role has earlier played a transsexual role in the Brazilian movie 'Carandiru' - Watch this movie if you get a chance).
